Click on the title bars to open and close the worksheet lists.

The worksheets ask the student to convert from improper fractions into proper fractions. For example, 52 becomes 212. Students can also be asked to complete the calculation in the opposite direction, from proper to improper fractions.

In case you've forgotten:

  • The numerator is the number at the top of the fraction.
  • The denominator is the number at the bottom of the fraction.
  • An improper fraction is one where the numerator is greater than the denominator.
  • Improper fractions can also called top heavy fractions.
